BANNER ELK – Win a scholarship to help pay for college, meet current students and faculty in the Theater Arts program, and start your career as a performer or leader at the Arts Audition Day of the Lees McRae Theatre.
Starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22 and throughout the day, prospective students will have the chance to learn about the various programs of study in theater arts, to visit the campus and the program facilities, to meet the professors and staff, as well as audition for scholarships. ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.
Students in the Theater Arts program have the chance to be part of three main stage productions throughout the year, to intern with the professional company Lees-McRae Summer Theater and to travel to the Southeastern Theater Conference – the largest theatrical conference in the United States – with professors and peers to make connections and find employment.
Entry to the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater program is by audition only, with audition materials and details provided immediately after registration is complete. All other auditions for the Theater Arts Scholarships are voluntary and do not require enrollment in the program.
